First Nascar Race

Last weekend I went to my very first NASCAR race.
The track here in Charlotte is about 10 minutes from my house.
Jeff and I, along with his brother and friend, went to the Bank of America 300 Busch Race.
Thanks to some connections, we had an infield pass.

Welcome to the infield at Lowes Motor Speedway!

In the infield you will find:
1. lots of hicks with campers with platforms built on top to sit/stand on to watch the race. We saw one guy wearing a dress made out of beer boxes...
2. Victory Lane
3. The garages and trailors for all the drivers.

These are some of the garages

Jeff and I had no seats, just the infield pass. Being a Busch race, the place wasnt super packed out. We were able to spend the first part of the race standing at the fence in turn 2, about 30? feet from the cars flying by.

Our spot for the start of the race

Ready for the race to start with our scanners on, used to listen to the radio or listen in on the communication between the drivers and their crew chiefs and spotters

Cars flying by at the beginning of the race

I wanted to see a wreck happen in turn 2 while we were standing there. First guy to hit the wall did it right there and ended up looking right at me

We eventually moved to the top of a crest in the in field. We could see about 4/5 of the track from there, as well as a huge screen showing replays.

It was a fun time and cool to exepereince. It made for a long night with scattered rain showers causing two red flags, as well as a dozen cautions, but I am very glad I was able to go and have my first nascar experience (and all for free..!!)

Hey I need to get my website up and running and I really like the layout of yours. Would you mind helping me get mine up and running. I have a domain name and everything, it's just a matter of actually launching it. Let me know if you can help and maybe we can have a phone convo about it.

Thanks friend!
